AMA CONVENTION

ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA           JAN 8 - JAN 10, 2010  (Fri, Sat, Sun)

Some of the many benefits to being a member of Clark County Radio Control Society is the ability to share talent, knowledge, friendship and resources around the radio control hobby.  CCRCS is blessed with a wealth of flyers that offer some incredible opportunities for members to tap into, and this trip comes to us through the generosity of Jim Taylor and Horizon Airlines.

CCRCS member Jim Taylor is making available to CCRCS members guest tickets on Horizon Air to attend the convention in Ontario in January.  Join your CCRCS friends and have a fun day attending the convention.  See all the great vendors, and the new planes.  Find great deals on the equipment and supplies you need/use the most.  Talk to the vendors and other flyers.  See flight demonstrations and giant-scale aircraft.  It's all here!

Please note:   This trip is private travel, not sponsored or endorsed by CCRCS or the AMA.  You are traveling at your own risk.

How it works:

Contact any club member that has made the trip before for more details.  Flyers like Chad Hertel, Luis Munoz, Dave Anderson, John Shirron, Dave Agar, John O'Rourke, or Ron McGuire.  They can fill you in on all the details.  Plan on spending the whole day in travel:  you'll leave on a morning flight from PDX, arrive at the airport near the convention, and simply walk to the AMA show from the airport.  You'll return to PDX in the late afternoon that same day.  Your costs will include a nominal fee for the guest flight pass, a one-day ticket to the convention itself, and your meal costs. Typically, flyers planning to make the trip will decide on the one day to attend as a group.

Get it started:

Once you've made your decision to attend the show, contact Jim Taylor via email at jimontheroad@comcast.net, or call him directly.  You'll be in contact with Jim as the trip evolves.

Have fun!  And please be prepared to report to your fellow flyers at the next meeting on your discoveries!  A report for the website is always appreciated as well!
