Thanks for a great year!

To all who put on events, worked at the field and helped all around, a big thank you!

I am looking forward to getting back to the field as a flyer in the following months and have a great new year.

It has been a pleasure to serve as your president and I will help in any way I can next year.

Thanks again for a great year.;

Thanks to all who have stepped up to run for office for next year and to those who have served this year also.

We are approaching our 30th year as a club and as far as I am concerned, we have grown into one of the best.

Thanks to Tom and his crew who put up the screen in the picnic table area to make it safe for spectators.  It is the responsibility of each to be aware of safety on the field and in the surrounding area at all times whether we are flying or just observing.

As we near the end of another year it has been a great year for the club and I am looking forward to next year to see more of what we do.

The September meeting featured a great auction with some fantastic buys.  Thanks John!

Well, as our season winds down, a last fun fly for Haiti will be coming up.  Watch for the flyer!

It has been an awesome season which featured several great events. A big thank you to all who participated and to those who did the set up and worked the events.

Since we are getting more requests for training, we need to set up a formal training system with designated trainers to take on the task. Bring your ideas and suggestions to the next meeting.

On a more serious note, field safety is everyone’s responsibility: to uphold the rules of the club and the field. If you are out there you are
responsible. If you see something wrong let someone know or if you can, correct it right then. If you see someone you don't know as a club member, ask them if they are. It is for your benefit as well as theirs.  They might become your new best friend or flying buddy.

Just a reminder:  During the October meeting, nominations will be accepted for next year’s club officers. Be ready with nominations.

Keep safe, have fun and spread the joy of our hobby!

Our mid-season fair break is almost over and we will soon be back to our regular flying again . . .
It is all our responsiblity to police the field and keep it neat and tidy, so if you notice something that needs repair, alert us, or if you can take a min and fix it. The field belongs to all of us not just a few that end up doing all the work.  But if we don't know of something in disrepair we can not fix it.
If everyone would think about a community project or a local group that we could help or a cause to assist with, bring your ideas and a contact person to the next meeting.
We have a great club and we need to make ourself known in the community!!
We have had a great season this year so far with 3 main events that were very well attended by a lot of community. People are getting to be aware of the club activities and we are getting a lot more interest in the club.  Thanks to all that have supported or worked to make this a growing club.
Soon it will be time to think of winter building projects and getting things ready for next year.
It is also time to consider who you want for officers for the next year only a few months before elections!!  If you are interested in a position let someone know so you can be nominated at the October meeting.
It has been an exciting experience - some good and some not so, but I have learned a lot and the club has grown.  And a lot of fun and excitement along the way.
Keep the wind in the wings and enjoy!
